Typ-R1 Phono-Entzerr-Vorverstärker (RIAA preamplifier)

Configuration: 3-valve/2-stage, active equalization

Design goal: Presentation of the full sound potential of the selected cartridge, stable three-dimensional imaging with exact localization and natural size representation of instruments and the “air” separating them, instantaneous percussive staccato, controlled, tight bass and touching vocal and midrange representation, balance of the entire frequency spectrum for recordings with RIAA pre-emphasis, adjustable equalization

Valves: 2x 6N2P, 1x 6N23P

Input: RCA, 5mV for MM-cartridges with variable input impedance and capacitance via interchangeable octal plug-ins on top of the casing (standard: 47kOhm, +0pF), adaptation to MC-cartridges via stand-alone input transformers or plug-in octal input transformers on top of the casing (pin assignment according to Altec-Lansing/Peerless, 4722 and 15095A)
Octal Input transformers for MC (optionally available): Hashimoto HM-3, Hashimoto HM-X, Hashimoto HM-7 (for insertion into the octal sockets on the upper side of the casing)

Output: RCA, 2V, 10kOhm

Mechanical construction: hand-wired on cotton reinforced phenolic boards, casing construction made of steel and aluminium, black paint finish in classic nitro- and wrinkle lacquer, connectors made of hard silver-plated brass.

Electrical structure: selected aluminum foil capacitors with Mylar dielectric, long-term durable MKP filter capacitors (anode voltage), selected non-magnetic and non-inductive carbon film and wire wound resistors, tin-plated pure copper conductors with vinyl and teflon isolation.

Power supply: Schottky rectifier, CRC filter

Dimensions: 505 x 265 x 180mm (overall, without input transformer)

Weight: 9kg (without input transformer)

Power consumption: 25W
